Flagstaff was a surprise: high, treed, windy and cold. They even ski here! And tomorrow's forecast is snow; who knew? But hotel rates are back down to earth, as is gas, which has ranged from CDN$0.67 to 0.87/litre, after all the conversions. Not very terrible. There are freight trains running past our window though. LOUD honkin' freight trains! I should have aimed higher than 2-stars, I guess, as Hotwire won't say exactly where they're putting you until after you commit. Still, it's a nice room, and Robbi's snoring can drown out ANYTHING!
